Dan Wakelam
Support Worker

My name is Dan. I struggled with addiction for 23 years and spent much of that time in and out of prison. I came to Lindale to start rebuilding my life. Today, I am proud to be clean of substances. My journey took me from a Pathway House through first stage and eventually to a second stage house. I began Volunteering at Lindale, building my support network and connections, and now i'm grateful to work here. I'm also a present father in my son's life, something I wasn't able to before. I can't thank Lindale and the team enough for their support. I'm passionate about helping others, supporting them, and showing them there's a chance for a better life. I've learned to connect with people from all walks of life, and I truly enjoy being there for others.

"I believe that everyone should have the chance to recover and to live their best life"
