I joined Lindale in 2021 as a client seeking help for chronic alcoholism. After many unsuccessful attempts to overcome my addiction, I found lasting sobriety through the support of Lindale. Upon completing group therapy, I began volunteering, which led to a permitted earnings role, I then transitioned to a full time position that combines support work and data analysis, allowing me to leverage my previous professional experience. My approach to support is solution-focused. Many clients arrive feeling broken and in need of intensive care, but my greatest satisfaction comes from witnessing their journey towards regaining and rebuilding their independance. Addiction does not discriminate, and Lindale welcomes clients from all walks of life, giving everyone a chance to rebuild their lives and reach their full potential. At some point, you will stop drinking or using. Its better to be alive when it happens.
